RED FORT: This fort, made of red sandstone and surrounded with towers on all sides, is one of the most impressive of Indian forts. On the India Gate, New Delhi, the names of all those who lost their lives are inscribed. To honor Indian soldiers who gave their lives in the 1971 Pakistani aggression, a War Memorial was also built. It is composed of an upright Rifle with a helmet on its top. This is called the Amar Jawan Jyoti or Flame. India Gate is a must-see for travelers to Delhi. CONNAUGHT PLACE - Connaught Place (also known as CP) was constructed in 1931. It is situated in the middle of Delhi and has excellent connectivity to all parts of Delhi. The CP is circular in shape and consists of two concentric circles, with a road passage between. Under the Rajiv Chowk Metro Station, the inner circle contains a huge garden. QUTUB MIR: The Qutub Minar, the world's highest stone structure, was constructed in 1193 by Qutubuddin Akibak to honor his teacher Qutubuddin Bakhtiyar.
