Brief Information About Cappadocia - Turkey

Cappadocia refers to a region located in central Anatolia, Turkey.


It is not a town. It is part of Nevsehir, a province that includes Kayseri.

People have built houses, churches, and shelters in these chimneys throughout history. Cappadocia, which has been home to trade colonies for centuries, is now one of the most important crossing points of the Silk Road.


It is now a popular tourist attraction that many locals and foreigners visit each year. There are many affordable options for budget trips to Cappadocia.

Our family car took us there. My husband drove the car. It was an overnight journey from Istanbul. After a few hours, I fell asleep. When I woke up the next morning, I found that we had entered Goreme. I was amazed by what I saw.


It was initially hard to believe that I was dreaming. But, it took only a few seconds before I realized it was real. The beauty of Cappadocia's geographical shapes was truly amazing. I was particularly impressed by the Fairy Chimneys.
